Key Responsibilities
The Welding QC Supervisor is responsible for supervising welding inspection teams, reviewing procedures, and ensuring compliance with approved welding procedure specifications (WPS). The role involves coordinating with NDT personnel, piping QC teams, and coating inspectors to maintain consistent quality across disciplines. Responsibilities include verifying material traceability, monitoring welder qualifications, reviewing inspection test plans (ITPs), and ensuring proper documentation of inspection results. Skills and Knowledge
Candidates must hold valid ARAMCO certification relevant to their discipline. Strong knowledge of international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ASTM is essential. Welding QC Inspectors and Piping QC Inspectors must possess ARAMCO certification along with CBT approval where applicable. NDT Coordinators must demonstrate experience in coordinating inspection services and maintaining quality records. API Engineers must hold valid API certifications such as API 510, API 570, or API 653, along with a minimum of six years of relevant inspection experience. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings are mandatory. Strong communication skills and the capacity to lead teams under high-pressure industrial conditions are also vital.
